NGOs to train ETC clients

The Employment and Training Corporation has renewed training agreements with Caritas Malta, The Richmond Foundation and the Eden Foundation.

The ETC-Caritas project provides personalised training services to Caritas clients to help them find employment and offers research and specialised training to ETC employees.

The agreement with the Richmond Foundation provides for assistance to persons with mental health problems. Under the agreement, the corporation pays for its clients to be trained by the foundation. The training consists of three phases - transition training, work exposure and job placement support. The agreement also covers follow-up support services.

The third agreement was renewed with the Eden Foundation. The corporation will also be covering the costs of three training programmes provided by Eden: personality and socialising skills; work exposure and community participation; and placement and job coaching.
