The Malta Drama Centre will hold drama therapy sessions on four consecutive Sundays next month.

The sessions, lasting three hours each, will be held at the Drama Centre in Blata l-Bajda and will be conducted by British drama therapist Fiona Hornstein who will be using the Sesame Technique.

Drama therapy uses a broad spectrum of creative tools to help a person build confidence and learn to explore and communicate their emotions.

The Sesame Organisation was founded in 1964 by Marian Lindkvist. Her work soon became recognised and she began training occupational therapists to use creativity to promote healing and growth in the late 1960s. The Sesame Institute is now seen as one of the leading authorities in the world of drama therapy, supporting people from all walks of life.

The sessions will be of value to therapists, social leaders, teachers, nurses, care workers or anyone wanting to explore using creativity as a therapeutic tool. Sessions will start on July 10 and continue on Sundays until July 31 from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Places are limited and there is a registration fee of Lm15. Applicants should place bookings by phoning 2122 0665.
