Viking FK into UEFA Cup via Fair Play league

Viking FK have been awarded a place in next season's UEFA Cup after Norway finished top of UEFA's Fair Play league.

Six other associations - Sweden (Hammarby), Estonia (Tulevik Viljandi), Germany (FSV Mainz), England (Tottenham Hotspur), Switzerland (Young Boys) and Denmark (to be confirmed at the end of the season on June 19) - will go into a draw for a further two places in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup.

The draw will be on Sunday at half-time in the opening game of the women's European championship between England and Finland in Manchester, UEFA said.

Viking finished fifth in their domestic Fair Play league. They were given the European place as champions Rosenborg BK had qualified for the Champions League while the next three sides - Brann, Tromso IL and Valerenga - had secured UEFA Cup places.
