The Vodafone Malta Foundation has donated money to the Gozo branch of the Malta Red Cross to buy two mannequins to train paramedics and teach first aid.

The mannequins have been imported from the US and allow the Red Cross to accurately simulate pre-hospital emergency care scenarios during training sessions.

The funds were presented to the general secretary of the Red Cross in Gozo, Etienne Micallef, by Vodafone Malta Foundation member Joanna Drake.

The Red Cross has three ambulances stationed in Gozo. These are run by a team of 25 qualified paramedics who provide emergency cover during public events as well as patient transport.
