GSSE athletes will roar into action tomorrow in various arenas, including athletics, basketball, cycling, judo, shooting, swimming, table tennis and volleyball.

However, delegates from the eight GSSE national Olympic Committees will start their work right away. They will gather for an International Bureau meeting this morning with various interesting topics on the agenda.

Monaco will put forward their plans for the next Games in 2007 and Cyprus are expected to be confirmed hosts for the next edition.

Liechtenstein could launch their bid for the 2011 Games. If no other bid is presented they should get the go-ahead to organise the Games for the second time after playing hosts in 1999.

The assembly will also decide on a new general secretary for the next four years. The MOC is likely to present its candidate.

If there is more than one application, an election will be needed to determine who gets the general secretary post until 2009.

In accordance with the statute, the president of the Olympic Committee which is to organise the forthcoming edition of the Games takes over the presidency after the closing of the current Games.
