Valley promenade
It was with shock that I got to know there are plans to build a promenade at Wied Babu, Zurrieq.
The road from the village of Zurrieq to Wied iz-Zurrieq offers spectacular scenery and is most ideal for walks.
The charm of the area lies in its rustic character. I am most opposed to pink cement, lamp posts and rusting benches devastating the area's simplicity.
Does the shore all around Malta have to look the same?
If there are funds to be spent, how about removing the illegal tanks on the rubble walls or appointing green wardens?
