Founder's Day at St Augustine's College, Pietà, was celebrated on April 20. The Commissioner for Children, Sonia Camilleri, was a special guest for the occasion.

During her visit she met members of the students' council, a delegation from the in-house Scouts group, staff members and administration. She toured classrooms, IT and Science laboratories while students were hard at work, as well as the college gymnasium.

The morning was rounded off with Mass in the college grounds, celebrated by Fr Michael Camilleri, parish priest of Guardamangia, a past pupil of the college. The theme chosen for the Mass were three words from the college motto: "Love, Care, Excellence".

Ms Camilleri finally addressed the whole school community and stressed that students should avail themselves of all opportunities coming their way.
