A sentry-box, demolished during World War II, is being reconstructed at Hastings Garden, in Valletta. The rebuilding of the gardjola forms part of a restoration project being carried out in the gardens by workers from the Resources and Infrastructure Ministry.

The project will include the installation of irrigation facilities, street furniture and the cleaning of the bastions.

The works on the 350-metre garden started at the end of January and are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
