Formula One's governing body have ruled out further action against Honda-backed BAR, who make their comeback from a two-race suspension at Sunday's European GP.
"The FIA regards the San Marino GP incident as closed," the International Automobile Federation (FIA) said in a statement yesterday.
The FIA had said that it was investigating claims that BAR had brought the sport into disrepute with comments made by management following the team's suspension.
With BAR already under the threat of a six-month ban, suspended for a year, referral to the FIA council could have had serious implications.
BAR moved swiftly to stave off further action by saying they had accepted punishment.
The team were suspended for two races after Jenson Button's car, third at Imola, was found to be underweight when fully drained of petrol hidden in a collector tank inside the main fuel reservoir.
