Stroke statistics

An average of 395 people are admitted to St Luke's Hospital suffering from stroke every year.

Statistics show that the greatest number of people admitted are in their 70s.

Last Saturday's article in The Times entitled The Silent Enemy erroneously stated that 395 people are admitted over a five-year period.
