Kercem Ajax 4
Sannat Lions 0
\nKercem Ajax confirmed their good moment to move into the last four stage of the Gozo FA Cup following a convincing victory over Division Two champions Sannat Lions.
Kercem face a more difficult task in the next round as they play Xewkija Tigers. They dominated the match against Sannat and made sure of the result with two goals in each half.
Alfred Effiong opened the score after a fine solo move in the 18th minute and Elton Vella doubled their lead two minutes from half-time.
The Ajax continued to dictate matters after the break and sealed qualification with goals from Roger Walker and Effiong.
Sannat had Sandro Azzopardi sent off for dissent in the 87th minute.
Referee: Reno Refalo.
Ghajnsielem 5
Zebbug Rovers 2
Newly-crowned champions Ghajnsielem stayed on course to make it a double this season after eliminating Zebbug Rovers, just a few days before having the better of St Lawrence Spurs 4-0 in the previous round.
The Rovers, 2004 league champions, offered a stiff challenge and were still in the game until the 73rd minute. But then, two quick goals killed all their hopes.
The Blacks opened the score in the third minute with a Daniel Bogdanovic goal. Zebbug were close to an equaliser but Do Nascimento made it 2-0 in the 28th minute.
Three minutes later, the Rovers pulled one back through Dragomir Draganov. They applied some hot pressure on the Ghajnsielem defence after the break and in the 51st minute keeper Mercieca made the best save of the afternoon to turn to corner a shot by Cardona.
But the Rovers then conceded two goals in quick succession. Bogdanovic made it 3-1 in the 73rd minute and seconds later Ndayi Kalenga increased the score.
Zebbug were now demoralised and Kalenga scored again six minutes from time. Draganov made the score more respectable for Zebbug with a goal in stoppage time.

SK Victoria Wanderers 0
Xewkija Tigers 4
SK Victoria Wanderers, who play a crucial play-off against Xaghra on Saturday, were no match for Xewkija Tigers who clinched qualification with the least possible effort even though they played with a man less for more than an hour.
Udo Nwoko put the Tigers ahead after five minutes but after the quarter-hour mark the team suffered a setback when Saviour Farrugia was sent off for retaliation.
However, Victoria never managed to make the extra man count. Xewkija doubled the score in the 50th minute through Thierry Tazameta and minutes later an attempt by Jason Portelli ended just over.
It was 3-0 in the 63rd minute with another Nwoko goal and Tazameta scored again five minutes later.
Referee: Paul Apap.
Qala St Joseph 1
Nadur Youngsters 3
Nadur Youngsters eliminated Division Two side Qala St Joseph with a hard-earned victory. Nadur will have to play much better in the next round as they face Ghajnsielem.
Qala had made it to the quarter-final after a comprehensive 5-0 win over Oratory Youths.
Nadur opened the score early on when Alex Simoncic surprised keeper Falzon with a long-range shot.
Qala were not demoralised though and tried to make a fight out of it. But Nadur hit two quick goals after the break through Eric Nkwanko and substitute Aldrin Muscat.
Qala were awarded a penalty for a handsball by Camilleri on 75 minutes. Joe Xerri's shot was partially saved by Vella but from the rebound Aloysius Ihbeulu netted from close in.
Referee: George Portelli.
