The Diocesan Commission for the Family said that despite the fact that the family was going through rapid changes, values would never change.

In a message to mark the international day dedicated to the family tomorrow, the commission said that love, responsibility and solidarity were values on which the family and society were built.

The commission therefore not only urged the implementation of the religion syllabus at all levels, particularly where this places emphasis on family values but also stressed the importance for teachers to be well informed and trained to convey a positive message on the family.
