Corkscrew have been described as "a very promising band indeed" by British rock magazine Classic Rock.
This month's edition of the magazine says that although Malta has had little to offer to the rock world, Corkscrew may change that.
The band's latest album No Ordinary Maybe received an eight out of 10 rating by Classic Rock. This was the second time the band was featured in this magazine. In 2002, Classic Rock mentioned Corkscrew in a feature on new emerging acts around the world. The band has received encouraging reviews in other international publications, including a half-page article on the US-based magazines Lollipop and Amplifier, following a successful radio-promotion deal in the US.
The band's latest single, Insomniac, has made the top five on local radio station charts.
