'Soap donations' for mothers in need

With Mothers' Day approaching, The Body Shop in Malta is organising a campaign for mothers and young women in need during the next two weeks in all its outlets.

The Buy Another For A Mother campaign focuses on supporting victims of domestic violence and other women and children in need of assistance.

The Body Shop will be working with Fondazzjoni Suret il-Bniedem who offer refuge and sustenance at their homes in Valletta and Gzira. Focusing on the simple soap as being a perfect gift for a mother and her children, The Body Shop will be donating one extra soap for every soap purchased by customers in all its branches during the next week.

The soap bars will be donated to the women's shelter Dar Tereza Spinelli in Valletta in time for Mother's Day on Sunday. The Body Shop Malta is aiming for a collection of 400 soap bars.

Buy Another For A Mother is part of an international initiative being carried out by all branches of The Body Shop worldwide with the purpose of raising awareness of the problems of domestic violence and the need for governments to enact legislation in many countries where none still exists.
