There were 967 marriage separation cases pending before the Family Court in March, Justice Minister Tonio Borg told Carmelo Abela (MLP) in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday. The minister said that 89 new cases were presented in the first quarter of this year and 130 cases were struck off.

Dr Borg said 17 separations were pending before the courts in Gozo of which four were presented between January and March this year.
