Not frequent enough

Speaking at the launch of a frequent caller scheme, a Maltacom spokesman is reported to have said that they expect every subscriber to participate in one of such schemes.

He must have a very low opinion of Maltacom subscribers' mathematical skills. Assuming one joined the basic scheme for Lm6, one has been promised a 10 per cent (maximum Lm12) discount for calls to three friends or family members... which in real terms means a discount of Lm6. To get a Lm12 discount at 10 per cent one would have had to have made Lm120 of phone calls which at the present rate of circa 6c for five minutes adds up to 2,000 calls or just over 666 calls per person annually.

If you don't call your loved ones at least twice a day you lose money! How about that for a generous offer! Thanks but no thanks!
