Abortion not a solution

I refer to When to Allow Abortion (April 20). The simple answer is never. Though the author of this letter makes it sound justifiable, the grounds he cited are very dangerous.

Firstly, two wrongs have never made a right, so why should a child be destroyed because it was created through an act of rape? And the second is on very dangerous ground. Was this not the policy of the Third Reich's natural selection?

In today's world all one talks about is the right to choose and a woman's rights over her own body. Every woman has the simplest of choices. Either to have sex or abstain. Or take preventive steps. However, once a woman does become pregnant the only choice she should be contemplating is whether the child will be born naturally or by caesarean section. As for anything else, yes, it is in God's hands.

Once a child is conceived it is no longer a matter of choice; another life is involved. Abortion is not a solution, it is murder in any form. Just like the debate on divorce. Divorce is the enemy of God and like abortion there is only one choice and it is simple - either right or wrong.
