The F.O.I., through the Malta Business Bureau, is organising a conference on Friday that seeks to bring together all the major political and socio-economic players to make an assessment of what is happening within the EU Institutions vis-à-vis Malta, to discuss how Malta intends to tackle the competitiveness challenges linked to the renewed Lisbon Strategy and, more importantly, to see what is being done to increase the awareness with regard to the proper use of EU funds in Malta.
The rationale of the conference is the objective analysis of the short-term impact effects of Malta's EU accession both from an administrative, economic and business perspective.
More importantly, the conference aims to provide constructive recommendations on what needs to be done to address any shortcomings so that Maltese enterprise maximises the benefits of EU membership.
The participation fee for this conference is Lm30 for FOI/Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise/Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association members; non-members will be charged a participation fee of Lm45. For registration, readers are to contact the MBB Malta office on tel: 2122-4415.
