Villa Chelsea, the rehabilitation facility for persons with mental health difficulties, will receive visitors during an open weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There will be a variety of items on sale including books, toiletries and perfumes, kitchen ware, clothes, detergents, food, beverages, plants, indoor decorations as well as lotteries with attractive prizes.

A car wash will be held in the grounds behind Birkirkara's old church next to Villa Chelsea from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The fee for a car wash is Lm1.25.

The facility was set up by the Richmond Foundation in 1996 to provide residential and day services and to teach mental health patients skills to enable them to live an independent life in the community.

Villa Chelsea is at 33, Old Church Street, Birkirkara.
