The ability to maintain a positive mental attitude, the importance of having direction, how to communicate and when to walk away were among the principles discussed during a training event on how to become a better negotiator, organised by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malta at the Corinthia San Gorg Hotel in St Julians.

The negotiation skills seminar led by MacDara Hosty was directed at individuals aiming to improve their negotiation skills and learn new perspectives on the art of negotiating.

Mr Hosty, who has held such seminars in several countries, is a graduate in business studies and international marketing and has a number of medium and multi-national companies in his portfolio. His training areas include marketing, management, customer service, time management, leadership and personal development.

JCI Malta is affiliated to Junior Chamber International (JCI), a worldwide federation of professionals and entrepreneurs aged 18 to 40. It is represented in over 100 countries and 6,000 national organisations and has a membership base of over 200,000.

JCI Malta organises projects and events in four key areas - business, individual, community and international development. For more information visit www.jci.org.mt.
