A total of 325 thefts from cars were reported last month, figures given in Parliament yesterday show.
There were 128 burglaries from residences, 65 car thefts, 41 thefts from hotels and bars and 41 thefts from shops.
Home Affairs Minister Tonio Borg said in reply to parliamentary questions by Gavin Gulia (MLP) that a total of 901 thefts were reported in March.
There were 254 reports of wilful damage, 10 cases of violence against public officers, six cases of arson, 86 cases of bodily harm and three cases each of prostitution and sexual offences.
In all, the police received 1,457 crime reports last month.
