The National Commission for the Promotion of Equality (NCPE) and the Foundation for Human Resources Development (FHRD) are organising a half-day seminar on "Sexual Harassment at the Workplace: what the employer needs to know" on Wednesday, April 27, at 8.45 a.m. at the Corinthia San Gorg Hotel, St George's.

The seminar will present a Code of Practice which will help employers, human resources managers and employees understand what sexual harassment is. It will also provide ways to develop measures in order to prevent and eliminate sexual harassment at work.

This Code will give information on the established procedures that deal with the problem of sexual harassment. It will help people become more aware of what the law says regarding sexual harassment.

Maria Pia Chircop, FHRD chief executive, will chair the seminar, while Sina Bugeja, executive director of NCPE, will give the keynote address. This will be followed by a discussion, while participants will take part in workshops after rfreshments. The seminar ends at 12.15 p.m.

The participation fee is Lm15 plus VAT. Bookings by e-mail to sagius@fhrd.org, giving name, organisation and telephone number.
