A 17-year-old boy was yesterday charged with trafficking in heroin last year.

The boy, whose name cannot be published as he is a minor, was charged before Magistrate Lawrence Quintano and pleaded not guilty to possessing the drug and dealing in it in Zabbar in February 2004.

Police Inspector Alfred Mallia prosecuted.

Dr Franco Debono appeared for the boy.
