English Premier League referee Mike Dean has been suspended for the rest of the season after an investigation into his involvement with a betting website.

Dean has been banned until May 31 by Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL), who provide all officials for leading fixtures, for breaching his contract.

Dean was originally banned indefinitely in February when PGMOL began its investigation into his links with Arbitros Racing before he was due to referee a game between Newcastle and Bolton at St James's Park.
