Marriages

Mr ADRIAN GOUDER, B.Sc. (Hons) IT and Miss BERNADETTE VALLETTA
The marriage took place on Saturday, April 2, at St John of the Cross parish church, Ta' Xbiex, between ADRIAN, son of Mr and Mrs Patrick Gouder of Guardamangia, and BERNADETTE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Michael Valletta of Msida. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Richard Stanley Grech, OFM. Witnessing the ceremony were Mr Paul Spiteri and Mr Mario Caruana, MD, M.Sc., FRCS Ed. (Gen. Surg.), EBSQ (Vasc.), while the duties of best man were carried out by the groom's brother, Mr Steven Gouder. The ushers were Mr Simon Grech and Mr Peter Sultana. A reception was later held at Villa Madama, Balzan. The couple are honeymooning on the continent.

Obituary

AQUILINA. On March 30, SAUVEUR (Saviour), aged 81, born in Tunis and residing in Essex, England, died peacefully at Harold Wood Hospital, Essex, after a short illness, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Widower of Rita née Genovese and much loved father to Louis, his only son. Also sadly missed by his sister, brother, Maria, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends in England and Malta. - R.I.P.
The funeral service took place in Essex.

CAMILLERI. On April 9, Frances née Lauri, widow of pharmacist Joseph Camilleri, aged 77, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Donald and her daughters Marie-Louise and her husband Anton Cuschieri, and Mary Ann and her husband Jason Vassallo, and her grandchildren Giancarlo, Tiziana, Jonathan, David, Chiara and Michela, her brothers and sisters Rose, widow of Arthur Camilleri, Carmen, widow of Joseph Galea, Joseph and Vicky, Vivienne and Anton Galea, Edwin, widower of Mary, Georgina and Frank Portelli, and Edwin, her in-laws Rose, widow of Denis Lauri, and Lina Camilleri, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. for St Paul Shipwrecked church, Valletta, when Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to St Clare's Monastery, St Julian's will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

GOUDER. On April 8, at Casa Arkati, Mosta, Lina née Darmanin, widow of Judge Tancred Gouder, aged 93, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church. She leaves to mourn her loss, her only son Francis and his wife Simone, her beloved grandchildren Karl, Simon and Caroline, Nicky and Philippa, her step-children Maria Bonnici, Anna and John Gauci and Rosanne, widow of Tancred. She also leaves to mourn her loss Leo, Mark, Joanna, Stephen, Peter, Paula and Albert and their respective spouses, her sister-in-law Rosa Darmanin, besides her family members, numerous relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves Casa Arkati, Mosta, tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Any donations to St Clare's Monastery, St Julian's, or the Millennium Chapel, Paceville, will be appreciated. She leaves to mourn her loss John Curmi Dimech, widower of her daughter Laura, Carmen, widow of Louis Rinzivillo, Joe and his wife Yvonne, Anna and her husband Michael Zarb, her grandchildren Ruth and her husband Mario Bajada, Nadine, Sarah, Simon, Sergio, Beatriz, Gabrielle, Michele and Raphaelle and her great-grandson Kurt, her sister Mary, widow of Anthony Bezzina, her sister-in-law Mary, widow of Edgar, her sister-in-law Yolanda, widow of Carmel, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
