On April 2 my partner and I went to eat at Carrubia Restaurant at Marsaxlokk. I made a booking for 9 p.m. The waiter came to take our order, and I asked what types of shells are served in the mixed shellfish platter. He had no idea, apart from mussels.

I asked if he could get us a platter to share for two persons. When the so-called mixed fish platter arrived three quarters of an hour later it looked as if it was for one person. We asked the waiter and he said "no, this is for one person to share between you". I told him that I had asked for a platter to share for two people. His reply was "No, no, we don't do platters."

The shellfish was swimming in green pepper sauce, which from the little I know, has nothing to do with shellfish. All the shellfish was soggy.

Well, the prices on the menu are very attractive, but I prefer paying more and eating good food.
