George Hyzler will assume the office of Acting President and Tonio Borg that of Acting Prime Minister today in the absence of President Eddie Fenech Adami and Lawrence Gonzi who are attending the Pope's funeral in Rome.

Dr Fenech Adami, accompanied by Mrs Fenech Adami, Dr and Mrs Gonzi and Opposition Leader Alfred Sant will be leaving this morning to attend the funeral and will return in the evening.
