Elderly woman critical
A 77-year-old Gzira woman is in critical condition after she was run over by a bus at her hometown yesterday afternoon.
The police said the woman was crossing the road, at the junction between Triq l-Imsida and Triq ix-Xatt ta' Tax-Xbiex, when the accident happened at about 5 p.m.
She was taken to hospital in an ambulance and found to be in danger of dying.
Duty Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna was informed and appointed a number of experts to assist him in the inquiry.
Msida district police are investigating.
