French Cuisine Day was an exciting day for Form 2 students of the Immaculate Conception School, Tarxien. This event was organised by the students and their French teacher, Melanie Borg.

As part of their French culture, the students had been encouraged to cook French dishes, and on that day lessons were shorter and mouth-watering delicacies were prepared.

The French Ambassador, Patrick Christmant, educational officer for French Raymond Facciol and the Reverend Mother, Sr Maria Rosaria Fero, visited the students. The ambassador tasted the food and showed appreciation for the students' efforts.

At the end the students were all satisfied to know that their efforts had paid off and they gathered a good sum of money to buy French books for the library and to contribute towards the building of the gymnasium.

The students would like to thank the headmistress, Sr Giovanna Saliba, assistant head Rose Privitelli, Ms Borg all those teachers who made this event possible, and their parents for their support and patience. It was a worthwhile experience, enjoyed by every student. A l'annee prochaine!
