Aid for homeless shelter

Vodafone Malta Limited has donated Lm1,000 to YMCA following an initiative during the festive season in which, instead of sending Christmas cards, the company decided to donate the money it would have otherwise spent on the cards.

"Vodafone Malta endeavours to be a responsible business and takes corporate social responsibility very seriously. Thus, instead of sending Christmas cards, Vodafone made a donation to YMCA, which we hope will assist the lives of the homeless," Vodafone brand manager Alison Bezzina said.

YMCA, a shelter for the homeless in Valletta, has a strong social work programme, providing support to victims of domestic violence, residents of substandard housing and people from broken families.
