When I tell people my story half say "Welcome to Malta". The other half say I made a mistake.

I sent two letters to the UK, both of them registered and both so called "express". Needless to say they still haven't arrived, but my story doesn't end there. Being registered mail I can track them using Maltapost's website.

According to Maltapost both letters left at 8.15 a.m. on March 10 bound for Gatwick on flight KM116. The Royal Mail say they didn't arrive which is strange considering it was a direct flight.

Here is something amazing though - according to the same webpage the same two letters left Marsa for Valletta at 4.50 p.m. on March 10 (the same day). They then left Valletta at 4.50 p.m. to go to the airport. I am not a scientist, but I can deduce that in order for something to leave Valletta at 4.50 p.m. and arrive in Luqa before 8.15 a.m. it must travel back in time!

I would like to pose this question to the Maltapost chairman: If Maltapost's employees are intelligent enough to prove Einstein wrong, why can't they figure out where my registered letters are?

Oh, apparently, the mistake I made was to entrust Maltapost with something important. I do not err twice.
