A Valletta man was yesterday put on probation for a year after he admitted to threatening and assaulting a police sergeant at the Valletta police station on Monday.

Magistrate Anthony Vella heard John Curmi, 46, plead guilty to assaulting PS Patrick Bonnici, disobeying the police and breaching the peace at the station at about 3 p.m.

Police Inspector Josric Mifsud prosecuted.
