Notarial responsibilities

I believe the Notarial Council should explain in more detail the implications of the advert carried in The Times. I am referring to the council's announcement with regard to the precise responsibilities of a notary when he is publishing a deed of transfer of property.

To my understanding, while pointing at the right direction in terms of clarification, the council's announcement stops short of making clear in everyday language what clients are to expect of notaries. In the circumstances, I urge the council to make its position clearer to the public at large. I am also of the opinion that the council should air its views on the Maltese language media too.
