Oxford and Cambridge line up with an international cast that includes seven Olympians for the annual University Boat Race along the River Thames tomorrow.

Oxford are slight favourites even though Cambridge won last year by six lengths after the two boats clashed early in the race. Cambridge lead the overall series for the four-mile race from Putney Bridge to Mortlake, raced since 1845, 78-71.

Oxford president Robin Bourne-Taylor is one of three Olympians in the dark blue boat. He is joined by American Christopher Liwski, a reserve for the US Olympic eight, and Barney Williams, who was in the Canada boat pipped to the coxless fours gold in Athens by the British boat.

Cambridge's four Olympic athletes are Germans Bernd Heidicker and Sebastian Schulte, American Luke Walton and Briton Tom James.
