Alternattiva Demokratika is helping Qui-Si-Sana residents to raise a petition against the proposed car park in the area in line with the procedures required by the European Parliament.

The residents will have the full backing of AD when the petition is sent to the Parliament, the party said yesterday.

The initiative was taken by AD's Arnold Cassola, European Green Party secretary general and by AD's Sliema local councillor Michael Briguglio.

As a tangible show of support, AD chairman Harry Vassallo, Prof. Cassola, Mr Briguglio and other AD officials will be collecting signatures for the petition at the Strand in Sliema on Saturday at 9 a.m.
