The General Workers' Union focused on the role of youths in a message to mark International Youth Day today.

Youths should be allowed to make their voice heard especially in decisions that affected them or their future. In the case of employment, youths should be given space and the opportunity to express their abilities in the best possible way, the union said.

On Wednesday, the GWU will be holding a rally for young members of trade unions at the Workers Memorial Building, in Valletta.
