Nature walks for young students

San Gwann local council together with Nature Trust Malta is holding nature walks in Wied Ghollieqa for the students of the locality's primary schools.

The council said that since San Gwann has a high volume of daily traffic going through its streets, it was important to expose students to some rural environment. The walks will be led by a representative of Nature Trust who will explain the indigenous trees planted in the valley and answer questions.

The first walk was held on Thursday. They are being conducted in small groups of 20 and in all about 400 pupils will be taking part.
