Malta has received much international news coverage recently, especially after it joined the European Union on May 1 last year. While much of the coverage has come from media in other EU states, Malta is now enjoying a special visit from an American news organisation.

US Television's programme co-ordinators, Anthony Correll and Babette Mallon, are currently in Malta organising a television programme for Fox 5 NY, one of the leading news channels of New York City and the greater tri-state area of the upper Eastern Coast.

Fox 5 NY, a niche-market subsidiary of Fox Television Network, reaches over seven million high net-worth viewers, who are looking to do business in and travel to Malta.

This programme of US Television will be focused around the Malta Enterprise delegation which travelled to the US in January. This 30-minute feature will highlight the delegation's visit and current business-to-business ventures between the United States and Malta.

Mr Correll and Ms Mallon are meeting with both government and private sector leaders in Malta to create a well-rounded representation on the strengths and incentives of doing business in Malta.
