Methode Electronics Malta Ltd's environmental team, together with the Gaia Foundation, organised a tree planting activity last month at Ghajn Tuffieha Heights. A total of 75 trees were planted on the day by Methode representatives, 12 of which were sponsored by Methode employees, and another eight by Methode Electronics Malta Ltd.

With the support of the Gaia Foundation, Methode's environmental team gave Methode employees the chance to "Adopt a Tree". By buying Varta batteries from their canteen at a reduced price, a percentage of the cost of each packet of batteries was donated towards this ongoing campaign.

In a statement issued last week Methode Electronics' environmental team thanked all those associates for supporting the campaign by buying batteries from their canteen, as well as those associates and friends who attended the event, and Methode's management for sponsoring a further eight trees.

"We would also like to encourage all Methode's associates, to continue supporting this campaign, by buying Varta batteries from the canteen," a spokesman said.
