A group of members of Lija Youth Centre leave for Finland on Tuesday for a week-long youth exchange - thanks to funding provided by Youth, a European Union educational programme.

The theme of the exchange is "Developing Tolerance through Sports" and the two groups met last September when the Lija Youth Centre hosted the Finnish group.

At the end of their visit the Finnish organisation invited the Maltese youths to visit them in their hometown of Puumala.

During their stay in Finland the Maltese visitors, together with the Finnish group, will visit the local high school where a presentation will be held on Malta.

Seventy per cent of the travelling costs of the Maltese group and all their accommodation costs will be funded by the Youth programme.
