This year's San Michel tournament for teams has attracted a record entry field since the competition was played for the first time 13 years ago.

In all, the organisers received 180 applications - 84 men, 72 women and 24 juniors. They will play in six teams that will be headed by captains R. D'Alessandro, D. Portelli, J. Vella, D. Elden, A. Vella Bonnici and S. Farrugia.

The tournament is a round robin on two rounds.

A captains' meeting was held a few days ago and play starts today at the TCK courts. The final is scheduled for May 29.
