In reply to the letter signed by the manager of Nero Café, Horace Zerafa, the management of Bay Street would like to state that the water inconvenience outside Mr Zerafa's premises is being caused by the rain water culverts in the area, which do not drain the water properly. In fact, Mr Zerafa confirms that the situation is aggravated after it rains.

Although Bay Street is not affected by this problem, it empathises with Nero Café and in the interest of all operators in the St George's Bay area, the management would like to call on the responsible authorities to take the necessary action to remedy this inconvenience without delay.

The Bay Street management would also like to encourage the commercial community in the St George's Bay area to work together with the local council so that the area can continue to be embellished in everybody's interest. Bay Street also joins Nero Café to commend the local council, the Malta Tourism Authority and all the authorities concerned for their concerted efforts to embellish the area.
