What does the Constitution for Europe say about torture and slavery?
The new Constitution for Europe prohibits torture and inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. The Constitution adds: "No one shall be held in slavery or servitude. No one shall be required to perform forced or compulsory labour".

The Constitution also prohibits trafficking in human beings.
