The government has given up to Lm127,754 to the chicken processing industry for restructuring and to keep up with competition from other European countries, Parliamentary Secretary Francis Agius said.

Dr Agius visited the processors this week and noted that they had pumped thousands of liri into upgrading the sector, stepping up standards and producing a high quality product which, he said, was superior in taste to imported products.
