Prosecutions over smoking, sale of alcohol

The police last year launched criminal proceedings against 23 owners of places of entertainment after 96 people aged under 16 were found on their premises.

A further four people were arraigned for selling alcohol to minors.

The minister said 45 were arraigned for violating the new no smoking regulations.

He was replying to a parliamentary question by Carmelo Abela (MLP).
