Junior Chamber International - Malta has just held its first JCI European Presidents' Summit and European Development Council.
About 100 delegates from all over Europe met to discuss a number of issues and projects concerning JCI around Europe.
During the meeting JCI Europe was officially approved by the JCI general assembly. This legal body will now give JCI a recognised voice in Europe, enabling it to act as a European organisation besides being an international one. A major benefit will be the access to European Union funds for the many projects undertaken by JCI.
During the four-day conference, MEP Simon Busuttil gave a keynote speech where he explained that the setting up of JCI Europe will provide JCI with the opportunity to have a stronger voice and make it be better known among the Commission director generals and EU parliamentarians thus making it more possible to have worthy projects granted funds.
JCI Malta is an organisation aimed to serve as the forum for the development of bold and stimulating leaders. In accordance with JCI's strategies, JCI Malta organises projects in four areas of opportunity: international, business, individual and community.
