Call for part-time paramedics

A call for applications for medical laboratory technologists and radiographers on a part-time basis has been issued, the Union Haddiema Maghqudin said.

Health services section secretary John Briffa said the union had been insisting for months that the government employs paramedic students who had completed their course. Mr Briffa said the union would continue to monitor the situation.

Last December, laboratory technologists took limited industrial action after a decision to cut overtime had led to fewer of them manning the laboratory at any one time.
