New artist goes solo

An art exhibition on the theme Stoneworks will be held at The Gallery, Corinthia Palace Hotel, San Anton between March 24 and April 8.

The paintings are by a new artist, Cedric Galea Pirotta.

Mr Galea Pirotta is self-taught and has experimented with various techniques and media mainly oils, watercolours and acrylics. He takes countless pictures of locations and their details and paints after picking the most appropriate angles and balanced contrast.

Mr Galea Pirotta hails from Naxxar and has participated in collective exhibitions but Stoneworks is his first solo display. It consists of 20 paintings in pen, ink and washes.
