The gross domestic product last year soared by Lm58 million to Lm1,854.3 million at current prices, an increase of 3.2 per cent over 2003, the National Statistics Office said yesterday.

In real terms, the GDP rose by 1.5 per cent, or Lm24.4 million, to Lm1,670.2 million. In the period under review, the gross national income increased by 1.1 per cent to Lm1,831.2 million.
