A Syrian man was conditionally discharged for six months after he admitted to circulating counterfeit Nokia mobile phones from a Birkirkara shop last year.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti heard Omair Elsadi, 25, who resides in Paola, plead guilty to circulating the phones from Mobile.com shop and breaching copyright on and before October 7, 2004.

Police Inspector Kevin Borg prosecuted.
